I have visited this place twice and I was impressed both times. Most of the photos on Google maps didn’t do justice to show the neat and unique types of decorations inside. When I arrived on my first visit I just had to stand there and take all of the decorations in for a few minutes and enjoy the the setting. I ordered coffee the first time and ice cream the second. I will be back for a meal next time. The workers were great, prices were reasonable, and the location was very clean too.

The place is just as you'd imagine. Best ice cream in town, and the food is amazing too! I love coming here and will keep going as long as they are open. Thank you for being awesome!!

Wow! This place is small, cozy and inviting, but Not tightly packed or crammed inside. The customer service was wonderful. Very kind, very attentive, and in no rush to hurry me out the door, and I saw them take the time to treat every customer this way. I did not wait long at all, although I would have happily done so. The restaurant and its menu are filled with history, paying homage to local food history as well as giving honor to the achievements of those that have flourished from within the community. The food here is fantastic. I ordered the legacy sandwich and it was.. wow. I should have ordered two; one to eat and then one just to carry around in my pocket. Weird, I know, but you just don’t understand. Haha. The bread was soft and warm, the meat was thinly sliced, and the dressing was mmm, I don’t have words. They have a ton of home made ice cream flavors, And you will want to try every single one! And guess what, they’ll let you if they’re not too busy. I’m telling you this place is a must stop for anyone from anywhere. Easily broke into my Top 5 places all time. The atmosphere the people(and the service they provide) the food. There are not very many places like this that I have found to exist. An experience you would expect to have on vacation, but just on a random Monday afternoon. Do not miss out on this place.

This is exactly the kind of local shop I look for any time I travel. Fun atmosphere, good lighting, tasty food, excellent service. I hope to have another excuse to drive up to Portales just so I can visit Sweetwaters at Landalls again. Each of their flavors of ice cream are unique, creamy and high quality, and I have to wonder if that's because of their proximity to dairy farms like at Michigan State University's Dairy Store. I loved my sweet cornbread ice cream, ube ice cream and my cereal milk ice cream. Their bakery items were also delicious. I bought the banana pudding pie, millionaire pie, apple streusel, and cold brew brownies. Their workers were also friendly & knowledgeable. We had the pleasure of being assisted by Monica on our last day in Portales, and the evening before (3/10) there was another young worker who was charismatic though I unfortunately didn't catch his name. Both of them deserve mad props for the pride they take in their job.

I had never visited this place before, but dropped in for my free dole whip on election day and what a surprise! Nice atmosphere, great service, and a huge selection of ice cream, coffee, and desserts. Can't wait to visit again!

EDIT: Landall demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Very responsive to feedback. We had one bad experience with a new employee, but the owners were happy to correct the mistake. Thank you, Landall’s. Excellent food and ice cream. Husband normally gets ham and cheese panini and I get the Angry olive salad or a soup. We have not had a food or flavor of ice cream we did not like so far. They offer a rewards program, you can order online, call in, or dine in. Owner and his mother are genuine and kind. They treat you like family.

Such a cool place! Ice cream is always great with rotating flavors. The decor speaks to my inner-child, and my kids love it too! Connor always gives great service as does the rest of the staff. Love Landall's!
